Risk Mitigation Project

Objective: – To make poor families aware of the various processes by which they can nullify various risks in day-to-day activities.

Identification procedure: – Poor families which are identified under the risk mitigation process are: –
1. All the SHG families.
2. Poor families which are unaware about such risk-mitigation activities.

Achievements: – The various achievements of the Risk Mitigation project are: –

1. 7 death-claims were granted in this year by Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). The total amount for claims was Rs.2,69,511/-

2. Information about various policies was given to the members of SHGs and their families to link poor families with life insurance policies.  Women were given detailed information about widow-pension and old age pension.

3. Information about Shramik Pension Scheme was given to labourers in the villages of Naasun and Gorda. 20 labourers were insured under the scheme.

4.  We established continuous engagement with poor families in many villages and linked them with life insurance policies like Jeevan Mangal and Jeevan Madhur.
