Women Empowerment Programme<\/strong><\/p>\n

Main program under women-empowerment sector is:-<\/p>\n

SHG Federation (Self Help Groups)<\/em><\/p>\n

Objective<\/em>: – Our main motive is to improve the social and economic status of\u00a0village women. With the help of bank-loan facility, we help the village women\u00a0to become self-dependent. Further, we try to make them aware of the various\u00a0progress related activities in the village.<\/p>\n

Key Focus Area<\/em>: – The key groups which are focused under this project are\u00a0SHG families and their relatives.<\/p>\n

Achievements<\/em>:
\n1. Formation of SHGs \u2013 A total of 47 new self help groups were\u00a0formed in Masuda and Pisangan block in the year 2011-12. Presently, there are 130 fully active SHGs with a total of 1664 members.\u00a0A training camp of two days for capacity building was\u00a0organized for all the new SHGs.<\/p>\n

2. One of the most important tasks for sustaining and proper functioning of\u00a0the SHGs is to make bank loans available for them. This year, we were\u00a0able to get loans from a number of banks including SBI and Co\u00a0bank.<\/p>\n

3. Loans from banks were used by the members of the SHGs for improving\u00a0their livelihood. They use these loans for various activities as:<\/p>\n

Animal Husbandry;
\nAgriculture;
\nOthers \u2013 Flour Mill;
\nStitching work, Shops<\/p>\n

4. The Federation is working to link the members of the SHGs with the life\u00a0insurance policies of LIC, India. We have managed to provide\u00a0insurance facilities to 1102 SHG members.<\/p>\n

5. The program facilitated\u00a0linkage of 18 SHG\u00a0members with various\u00a0government schemes.\u00a0Out of theses, 8 were\u00a0for widow-pension, 2
\nfor Paalanhaar Scheme,\u00a03 for Indira Aawaas Scheme and 5 for progress pension facility of the\u00a0government.<\/p>\n

6. With the help of FLRC program of GSVS, goats and hens were provided\u00a0to the SHG members in Motipura and Bhairokhera villages, thereby helping them in enhancing their livelihood through animal husbandry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
